This is the list of dance classes being taught at Pennsic 38.

Floor setup

The floor will be built on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday beginning at 9 or 10am each day. There will be no painting this year.

17:00 Judith de Northumbria Menage a trois: Hope springs eternal... This class will cover the dance Spero, a lovely 15th c. threesome which proves that men never relinquish hope. Steps shall be reviewed, but class is aimed at intermediate to advanced dancers. (Repeats on Wed. 5th)

In this class, we'll look at the Bransle of Poitou, the Scottish Bransles, and the Trihory of Brittany. (and possibly Arbeau's Maltese Bransle, even though it is a Mimed bransle) No experience necessary.
12:00 Dafydd Cyhoeddwr Unfamiliar versions of familiar 15th C. dances The period manuscripts give different versions of several very familiar dances. I'll teach a variation of Amoroso, as well as a 3-person Rostiboli Gioioso.
13:00 Henry of Maldon Playford by Request Ask for any dance from The English Dancing-Master by John Playford, and I will either teach it or have a reason why not.

18:00 Judith de Northumbria A Ball from 1503 Come and learn about a different type of ball, given in 1503 in honour of the royal progress of the Archduke of Austria. Primary source will be discussed, and the ball format will be practiced. Preparation for the Queen's Ball!
21:00 Eridani Aureus Mostly Pre-1603 Revel Her Royal Majesty Eridani, the Celestial Queen of Trimaris, invites you to join together at the River of Stars Ball on Monday Evening at 9pm. There will be brilliant and comely dancers because you all will be there in attendance. Delightful music will accompany as provided by the finest musicians from across the lands as led by Baron Octavio de Flores. Baroness Mairi Celidh, a Laurel in the cooking arts, shall be tempting us with edible treats during those occasions when we pause to reflect upon the spectacle rather join the action. Honorable Lord Edwardus the Wise will be your dance master for the evening, a man who will convince you that dancing is the most desirable way to spend your night.
